Market Canvas AI makes investing make sense, with free, plain-English education and Sharia-compliant (halal) stock screening for the Pakistan Stock Exchange and US markets.

What we do

We turn confusing market jargon into simple, friendly explanations, what a share is, how to read a chart, what makes a company worth its price, and how to invest the halal way. Every guide is written for someone starting from zero, with real PSX and US examples and a picture for every idea. Our companion app lets you screen any stock for Sharia compliance and track a portfolio, free.

How our halal screening works

Our Sharia status follows the KMI All-Share Index methodology used by the Pakistan Stock Exchange, which applies AAOIFI-style rules: the business must be permissible, and the company must pass financial ratios (notably interest-bearing debt below about one third of market cap and non-compliant income below roughly 5%). The compliant list is reviewed periodically; we reflect the latest official screen. See the full halal PSX list.

Our editorial standards

We write in plain English, define every term, and prefer worked examples over formulas. Content is checked against primary sources, the Pakistan Stock Exchange, SECP, the State Bank of Pakistan, AAOIFI, and the US SEC's Investor.gov, and updated as rules and markets change.

Who is behind Market Canvas AI

Market Canvas AI is built and maintained by Maaz Siddiqui, a software engineer who designs and runs the automated screening and research agents behind the site.
